On March 22, 2018, the construction of the first pilot station of the SMART Communication Tower Construction Project under the Ministry of Finance of Malaysia undertaken by TROY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA (TITM) was completed (contract signed on January 29, 2018)
This site is located in Rawang District, northwest of Kuala Lumpur City. The foundation project started on March 8th, 2018. With the support of SMART, through the supervision of the TITM company's technical staff and the hard work of the engineering construction personnel, the installation of the 24m single pole streetlight communication tower was successfully completed at noon on March 22, 2018 after the basic excavation, tower construction, ground installation, distribution equipment installation, and guardrail installation. This marks the successful completion of the first pilot station’s main part of Malaysia SMART Telecom Tower Construction Project.
At the same time, two other pilot stations are still under construction. It is expected that all the three test stations will be completed by the end of March.
The project, valued at 400 million ringgit, or around 640 million yuan, includes the construction of 2,000 towers within 5 years. Three hundred sites will be completed according to the construction plan for the entire year of 2018. With the completion and delivery of the three pilot stations, the entire project will begin to enter the state of small-batch construction in April. It is expected that the scale construction and batch delivery will start in June.
