On May 17, 2018, Mr. Lu Wenbin, Chairman of Sichuan TORY Information Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Group Company), visited SMART, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance of Malaysia (referred to as SMART). Mr. Wang Xiaowei, Deputy Chairman of the Group and Director of TROY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA (referred to as TITM Company), Mr. Lei Li, Director of the Group and TITM Chairman, Mr. Zhang Yingfu, Executive Vice President of the Group, Ms. Gu Hongbin, Group Chief Financial Officer, and the management team of TITM company accompanied the visit.
SMART Chairman Dato' Farid, CEO Jamalil and the executive team attended the reception and meeting together.
On behalf of SMART Corporation, Datuk Farid extended a warm welcome to Mr. Lu’s visit. He expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the results of the previous cooperation between the two parties and expressed his expectation for the follow-up cooperation. SMART introduced the company team and the company's structure to Mr. Lu and discussed the annual goals of the tower construction project, the strategic development plan for the next three years in telecommunications and IT, and expressed hope to carry out long-term and in-depth strategic cooperation on tower construction and operation, VSAT network operation, and 5G virtual operation. SMART also extended its wish to establish a business relationship with the Group Company in the field of satellite communications.
Mr. Lu expressed his appreciation for SMART's strategic development plan and his gratitude for SMART's cooperation with TITM. The Group Company regards SMART as a strategic partner and will fully support the cooperation between TITM and SMART in terms of capital, technology, etc. to ensure that the tower project is delivered on schedule and expects to form a comprehensive strategic partnership with SMART in other ICT directions.
