On January 29, 2018, Mr. Nasir, CEO of TROY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MALAYSIA (TITM), signed business contract with Mr. Jamalil, the CEO of SMART Company owned by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) of Malaysia under the witness of Dr. Lei Li, Chairman of TITM. The project is to build 2,000 telecommunication towers and support facilities in the Malaysian Peninsula, with a project cycle of five years and a contract value of 400 million ringgit (On February 1 Reuters reported that the contract is worth 640 million yuan, or USD 101.69 million). The signing of the document marks the beginning of a substantive cooperation stage for the telecommunication tower construction project of the two parties.
After the signing of the contract, Dr. Lei Li said that this signing is a right strategic cooperation at the right time and at the right place. TITM and its parent company in China will make every effort to ensure the efficient and high-quality implementation and delivery of this project. In addition, it will also cooperate with SMART in more aspects, provide new technical support for SMART, and introduce new technologies and methods into Malaysia through cooperation. It is also hoped that SMART will work with TITM to complete more ICT projects for the government.
Mr. Farid, Chairman of SMART's Board of Directors, highly agreed with Dr. Lei. Dato' Farid said that TITM is a company worthy of in-depth cooperation. The signing of this project is only the beginning of deep cooperation between the two parties.
